What is Waterjet Cutting?

Waterjet cutting is directing a high-pressure jet stream of water and abrasive garnet used to cut all sorts of materials. The same force that shaped the grand canyon is now in your hands to shape your idea into a reality. Our Flow Mach 500 is CNC controlled directly off your CAD design so you can rest assured knowing your parts will be cut as intended.

Why use Waterjet?

The benefit of using the Waterjet cutting process is water can cut through metal surfaces without increasing the surface temperature of the material leaving the metallurgical properties unchanged. Essentially, leaving no Heat-Affected Zones on the surface when compared with laser or plasma cutting, this can be critical when processing materials such as stainless steel where corrosion resistance must be maintained. In addition to the controlled surface temperatures, we can cut sharp holes, corners, miters, chamfers, counterbored holes, slots, and other complex 3D designs with the use of our 5 axis cutting head. Our Flow Mach 500 CNC Waterjet is at the forefront of high precision plate processing and is capable of holding a tolerance of .0015”/3’.
